BREAKING NEWS
FNSS’s newest member of the PARS family, the PARS ALPHA, is rapidly approaching export success after securing its first domestic contract with the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). Representing nearly 35 years of FNSS’s experience, the vehicle was developed by integrating lessons learned from previous generations and adapting to the evolving needs of modern battlefields. According to FNSS Domestic Programs Director Kerem Kaplan, the PARS ALPHA emerged as the most advanced platform of the family, combining modularity, superior mobility, and next-generation battlefield systems.
Following a rigorous four-year prototype competition and testing phase led by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), FNSS signed a contract in February for the delivery of multiple 6x6 and 8x8 variants equipped with different weapon systems. The company plans to begin deliveries by 2028 after a comprehensive qualification and review process. The project is regarded as one of Turkey’s largest and most technologically advanced land vehicle programs, set to enhance the TSK’s mobility and tactical versatility across multiple missions.
A key advantage of the PARS ALPHA lies in its forward-mounted power pack, allowing the driver, commander, and crew to maintain close coordination and direct line of sight. This configuration improves situational awareness and interior space optimization, distinguishing the vehicle from previous generations and foreign competitors. Designed with a modular architecture, the platform can be configured for roles such as reconnaissance, troop transport, and air defense, while supporting various turret and weapon system integrations.
Kaplan noted that PARS ALPHA’s domestic success has significantly boosted its international reputation. FNSS is currently in talks with several countries, with one nearing the signing stage. The company expects to showcase a test version in 2027, ahead of official deliveries in 2028. With its strong TSK reference, advanced design, and proven field capability, the PARS ALPHA 8x8 is poised to become one of Turkey’s next major defense export achievements.
