Turkey's largest defense electronics company ASELSAN signed a contract worth 1.47 billion euros to expand serial production of air defense systems under the Steel Dome architecture. The agreement represents a significant milestone in Turkey's defense industry localization strategy.

Defense Minister Yaşar Güler announced that Turkey is evaluating the potential acquisition of Patriot air defense systems from the United States and Franco-Italian SAMP-T platforms to strengthen its air defense capabilities. Ankara emphasized its openness to cooperation involving technology transfer and joint production arrangements.

ASELSAN, Turkey's leading defense contractor, will increase component deliveries for the country's integrated Steel Dome air defense system by 50 percent. The company aims to deliver more than 150 different components throughout 2026.

Turkey's largest joint military exercise in Izmir enters its final phase with 50 participating nations. Autonomous unmanned systems, indigenous air defense architecture and national platform technologies were demonstrated to international military representatives.
