At the Paris Airshow, TUSAŞ, Baykar, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN showcased Türkiye’s top defense platforms. KAAN, Gökbey, Hürjet, and UAVs drew major attention, while Baykar–Leonardo’s new joint venture was officially announced.

ASELSAN officially opened its new Indonesia Office in Jakarta during INDO Defence 2025, reinforcing its presence in Southeast Asia and signing five key cooperation agreements to expand regional defense partnerships.

According to Companies Market Cap data, ASELSAN has become the 18th most valuable defense company in the world with a market capitalization of $15.18 billion, marking a historic milestone as the only Turkish firm on the global list.

ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol announced that AI systems introduced under the ASELSAN Next program have saved 650,000 labor hours and increased efficiency by approximately $35 million within just one year.

During his speech at TEKNOFEST TRNC, Defense Industry Agency (SSB) President Haluk Görgün announced that the Turkish defense industry has become a global sector, exporting products and technologies to 180 countries worldwide.

ASELSAN achieved a 9% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching 22.8 billion TL in the first quarter of 2025. The company secured $1.5 billion in new contracts and $372 million in export deals, reinforcing its strong growth momentum.

German Chief of Defense Gen. Carsten Breuer visited Ankara at the invitation of Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak, holding key meetings at the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), ASELSAN, and TUSAŞ to discuss defense technology cooperation and strategic partnership opportunities.

Following reciprocal visits by Presidents Erdoğan and Prabowo, Turkish defense firms are accelerating cooperation in Indonesia. ASELSAN has opened its Indonesia branch, HAVELSAN is establishing a local office, and TUSAŞ continues joint projects including ANKA and modernization programs.
