Turkey's indigenous jet trainer aircraft HÜRJET participated for the first time in a 10-aircraft formation alongside the Turkish Air Force aerobatic team Turkish Stars during a special demonstration flight. The formation, comprising two HÜRJET aircraft and eight Turkish Stars jets, marked a new milestone in Turkish aviation history.

Turkey's advanced jet trainer aircraft HÜRJET export to Spain extends beyond the platform itself. Full-mission and flight training simulators developed by HAVELSAN, along with mission planning systems, will be delivered to the Spanish Air Force.

Turkish Aerospace Industries and GE Aerospace have signed a strategic agreement for the supply of F404 turbofan engines to power Türkiye's advanced jet trainer and light combat aircraft Hürjet, strengthening their long-standing partnership.

An official signing ceremony was held at Airbus facilities in Madrid for the export of Türkiye’s indigenous jet trainer HÜRJET to Spain. The agreement marks a major milestone for Turkish aerospace exports in the European and NATO markets.

Spanish aerospace company Airtificial has signed a contract worth more than €16 million with Turkish Aerospace Industries to produce flight control sticks for HÜRJET aircraft destined for Spain’s F-5 replacement program. The broader Spanish HÜRJET acquisition covers 30 aircraft under a €2.6 billion agreement, with deliveries expected from 2028.

HAVELSAN’s Flight Mission Support and Planning System will be integrated into HÜRJET and exported to Spain alongside the aircraft, marking a new step for Türkiye’s defense software exports.

Turkish Aerospace Industries is using DSA 2026 in Kuala Lumpur to build on its ANKA success in Malaysia and pursue new cooperation in trainer aircraft and unmanned systems. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also visited the TAI stand and signed the full-scale HÜRJET mock-up.

The Turkish Air Force is strengthening its independence by shifting pilot training and combat preparation to a fully domestic ecosystem built around HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, KAAN and national simulators.
