Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that with GÖKBEY receiving its Type Certificate, Türkiye has joined the select group of countries capable of managing aircraft certification through a fully national and digital system.

Türkiye’s indigenous multipurpose helicopter GÖKBEY has passed a major milestone in civil aviation by receiving its type certificate. Officials announced that the first delivery will be made to the Ministry of Health in July 2026, while orders have already reached 75 helicopters.

The GÖKSİM Full Flight Simulator, developed by HAVELSAN for the GÖKBEY helicopter, has reached the delivery stage. Pilots will now receive EASA-certified training on the indigenous system.

TUSAŞ will focus on intensive testing, prototyping, and serial production of KAAN, HÜRJET, ANKA III, and GÖKBEY projects throughout 2026.

On the third day of IDEF 2025, Turkey’s Defense Industry Agency (SSB) signed key contracts covering ballistic gear, weapon systems, simulators, and helicopters — including 57 GÖKBEYs and a new T-70 Simulator Project.
