BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s defense industry has recorded another notable success with KARAOK, one of its prominent short-range anti-tank systems. According to the reported details, the system achieved direct hits on its targets during recent live-fire tests conducted under four different operational scenarios. This result demonstrated not only the technical maturity of KARAOK, but also its reliability under realistic field conditions. The successful test campaign highlighted the system’s adaptability to varying combat environments and reinforced confidence in its operational effectiveness.
One of KARAOK’s most important features is its infrared imaging seeker, which enables the system to operate effectively both day and night. This capability gives troops a significant tactical advantage, particularly in low-visibility conditions and complex battlefield environments. In addition to its imaging performance, the system’s armor-penetration capability makes it a strong asset against armored threats. Its ability to engage both stationary and moving targets further increases its versatility, positioning KARAOK as more than a conventional anti-tank weapon and making it suitable for a wide range of tactical missions.
ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci also underlined the importance of the tests, noting that KARAOK successfully struck its targets in four different scenarios. His remarks emphasized that the results once again proved the system’s dependability in the field. The message shared alongside the tests, describing the system as bold and precise in its strike capability, reflected both KARAOK’s operational ambition and its growing place within Türkiye’s indigenous defense portfolio. The broader vision behind the program is to contribute to shaping the future battlefield with national technologies while strengthening the combat power of the Turkish Armed Forces.
The latest success of KARAOK is also significant from a strategic perspective. As a domestically developed short-range anti-tank solution, the system represents an important step toward reducing foreign dependency in critical defense technologies. At the same time, it enhances the operational capacity of units that require mobile, effective, and rapidly deployable anti-armor firepower. The strong performance seen in these trials may further reinforce KARAOK’s role in inventory planning and could also support future export opportunities. Altogether, the test results present KARAOK as a capable and increasingly valuable weapon system for modern combat requirements.
