BREAKING NEWS
Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi AŞ, known as MKE, is preparing to introduce its next-generation defense systems at SAHA 2026, where its newly developed manned and unmanned platforms will be displayed. Among the most notable systems at the fair will be ATTİLA, a 155 mm vehicle-mounted howitzer developed through MKE engineering to meet the modern battlefield’s need for mobility, rapid deployment and effective fire support.
ATTİLA is designed as a new-generation artillery system integrated onto a 6x6 tactical wheeled vehicle. Compared with conventional towed artillery systems, the platform offers faster movement, shorter reaction time and more flexible mission execution. With this structure, ATTİLA aims to provide field units with a high degree of tactical and strategic mobility while delivering strong fire support in demanding operational conditions.
The system is equipped with a 52-caliber 155 mm barrel and can deliver a firing rate of 6 rounds per minute. ATTİLA has the capacity to carry 38 rounds of ammunition, along with 3 illumination and smoke rounds. Its semi-automatic loading system enables faster and safer ammunition handling, increasing the system’s effectiveness during high-tempo fire support missions while reducing the operational workload on personnel.
ATTİLA can reach a maximum speed of 85 kilometers per hour and offers an operational range of 850 kilometers. These figures allow the system to rapidly move between different operational areas and provide sustained fire support over long distances. Developed for challenging terrain and harsh climate conditions, ATTİLA combines the firepower and mobility required by artillery units on a single platform, positioning it as one of MKE’s key land systems at SAHA 2026.
Another system MKE will introduce at the fair is the 105 mm URAN vehicle-mounted howitzer. Expected to be displayed for the first time, URAN combines artillery firepower with a 4x4 mobile platform to support units operating in difficult terrain and weather conditions. Integrated with MKE’s fire control system, URAN can fire 12 rounds per minute and engage targets at ranges of up to 18 kilometers. With these features, the system stands out as an option for missions requiring light, mobile and rapidly deployable artillery support.
MKE will also showcase the ALPAY-2 Minefield Breaching System, developed with domestic and national resources to enable motorized and dismounted units to safely pass through mined areas. The system is mounted on an armored vehicle and powered by a fully electric motor. It is designed to be effective against both anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, while its ability to be remotely operated without personnel on board increases survivability in high-risk missions.
Weighing 18 tons, ALPAY-2 can reach an operational range of 750 kilometers with generator support. It is capable of operating in difficult terrain and harsh climate conditions, climbing steep slopes and crossing trenches to reach the target area. The system carries two ammunition cassettes, giving it multiple-launch capability. Explosive charges inside the cassettes are fired by rocket toward mined areas and detonated remotely to clear threats.
ALPAY-2 can be remotely controlled from distances of up to 3 kilometers. In mined terrain, it can create a safe corridor 10 meters wide and 100 meters long by neutralizing mines located up to 1 meter underground. This capability is considered critical for the safe movement of troops and vehicles through high-risk areas. With ATTİLA, URAN and ALPAY-2, MKE is set to demonstrate its engineering strength in artillery systems, land platforms and mine-clearing technologies at SAHA 2026.
