The Kazakh army has taken a significant step in strengthening its defense capabilities by testing some of Turkey’s leading defense industry products. At the "Spassk" training ground in Karagandy, Otokar’s Arma 8×8 armored combat vehicle and Aselsan’s Nefer remote-controlled weapon system underwent rigorous trials under both daytime and nighttime conditions.
The Arma 8×8, manufactured by Otokar, stands out with its NATO-standard design, exceptional mobility, and durability. The Kazakh army specifically assessed the vehicle’s performance in harsh winter conditions and its overall operational effectiveness. With its spacious interior, modular design, and superior off-road capability, the Arma 8×8 demonstrated its potential to adapt to various combat scenarios.
Aselsan’s Nefer weapon system was another highlight of the trials. Equipped with thermal cameras, night vision capabilities, and automatic target detection and tracking, the Nefer system provides high precision and reliability even in challenging conditions. Its remote-control operation increases crew safety while delivering strong firepower, offering tactical advantages in modern warfare.
These trials not only mark an important step in Kazakhstan’s military modernization efforts but also showcase the growing international reputation of the Turkish defense industry. Turkey’s advancements in defense technology continue to provide reliable alternatives to allied and partner nations, strengthening defense cooperation across the region.
