BREAKING NEWS
Ankara-based Enderus Teknoloji attracted significant attention at IDEF 2025 with the first public showing of its 100% indigenous ultra-light wheeled tactical vehicle alongside an extensive portfolio of weapon barrels spanning 5.56 mm up to 155 mm. Company Board Member Taner Dırama emphasized that Enderus developed proprietary electro-chemical processing technology that improves barrel accuracy, range and service life, enabling the firm to produce a wide range of calibers without foreign technology or material dependencies. The firm positions itself as the most comprehensive private Turkish producer for medium-caliber barrels, working closely with nearly all domestic small-arms manufacturers and defense institutions.
Enderus is the second organization after MKE to hold medium-caliber production licenses in Turkey and has already delivered barrels to both domestic and overseas customers. Dırama noted accelerated delivery tempos — turning orders in months rather than years — and exports to around ten countries including Kazakhstan, Ukraine and several Eastern European states, with presence in the U.S. civilian market as well. The company highlighted recent deliveries of 30 mm air-defense and medium-caliber barrels to Ukraine, demonstrating both speed and competitive quality against larger global suppliers.
The ultra-light tactical vehicle concept addresses operational needs in border areas and low-intensity conflict zones where mobility, cost efficiency and reduced logistical burden matter most. Enderus claims the vehicle offers fuel savings, much lower acquisition cost compared with heavy armored platforms (estimated at one-tenth to one-twentieth the cost), and practical protection sufficient for convoy security and patrol tasks. The design, fully owned by Enderus, is production-ready and the company says it received strong interest from Turkish Armed Forces elements and foreign delegations at the fair.
Following the influx of orders at IDEF, Enderus plans to move to serial production to meet both domestic procurement and export demand. The combined push in advanced barrel manufacturing and novel lightweight platforms underscores a broader trend: Turkish SMEs are closing critical capability gaps in national defense supply chains while scaling into international markets.
