BREAKING NEWS
Baykar, the developer of Türkiye’s indigenous and national armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UCAVs), once again confirmed its global leadership in 2025 by reaching an export volume of $2.2 billion. Having led the global UCAV export market for the past three years, the company renewed its own record with this achievement and further reinforced its reputation as a globally recognized defense technology brand.
In 2025, Baykar generated total revenues of $2.5 billion, with 88 percent coming directly from exports. According to data announced at the 5th Global Strategies Conference on Defense and Aviation Industry organized by the Presidency of Defense Industries, Baykar ranked second among Türkiye’s top defense exporters overall, while remaining the clear leader in unmanned aerial vehicle exports.
Financing all of its projects through its own resources, Baykar has earned 83 percent of its total revenues from exports since the launch of its UAV R&D activities in 2003. The company ranked among the top 10 exporters across all sectors in Türkiye in both 2023 and 2024, earning the “Champions of Export” award. Notably, Baykar alone accounted for one-third of the defense and aviation sector’s exports in 2023 and one-quarter in 2024, highlighting its decisive role in the industry.
As the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer, Baykar has signed export agreements with a total of 37 countries—36 for the Bayraktar TB2 UCAV and 16 for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA. These agreements have positioned Türkiye as the global leader in UCAV exports, while solidifying Baykar’s status as the driving force of the national defense and aviation industry.
