BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s leading defense technology company ASELSAN has announced a new agreement with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) for the supply of advanced payload systems designed for land combat and tactical vehicles. According to the disclosure made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the total value of the contract amounts to €36 million, with deliveries scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2029.
The term “payload systems” refers to a broad range of technologies that enhance the combat effectiveness of military vehicles — including electro-optical surveillance systems, day/night imaging units, remote-controlled weapon stations, laser designators, communication suites, and command-control modules. These systems are expected to significantly strengthen the situational awareness, targeting precision, and combat sustainability of Türkiye’s armored and tactical vehicle fleets.
The long-term delivery schedule suggests that multiple vehicle platforms and configurations will be equipped with customized ASELSAN subsystems. Türkiye’s land systems ecosystem — which includes major producers such as Otokar, FNSS, BMC, and Nurol Makina — is already integrating ASELSAN’s indigenous payloads into both domestic and export platforms. This cooperation reinforces a fully national defense production chain, reducing foreign dependency and increasing interoperability across different vehicle types.
This contract also aligns with Türkiye’s defense modernization roadmap, which prioritizes modular, scalable, and quickly integrable payload architectures that can be adapted to new operational needs. With this agreement, ASELSAN continues to position itself as a central player in the development of next-generation land systems that combine electronic warfare, intelligence, and firepower in a single, networked ecosystem.
