BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye continues to advance its expertise in the field of electronic warfare, a critical element of modern defense. ASELSAN has recently delivered the VURAL (REDET-II) Electronic Warfare System to the Turkish Armed Forces, enhancing their capabilities in both electronic attack and defense.
Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, announced that the delivery took place on the final day of the year, marking a significant milestone. He emphasized that for the first time, the electronic attack version of the VURAL radar electronic warfare system, developed entirely with national software and hardware, was handed over to the military. Demir highlighted the achievement as an important step toward strengthening Türkiye’s defense independence.
The VURAL (REDET-II) system plays a vital role in radar-based electronic warfare missions. It detects and analyzes hostile radars, identifies their positions and orientations, and then generates electronic warfare commands to execute electronic attacks. By reducing the effectiveness of enemy radar systems, VURAL provides the Turkish Armed Forces with a critical operational advantage on the battlefield.
Electronic warfare is increasingly recognized as one of the most decisive components of modern conflicts. In this context, the integration of VURAL (REDET-II) into the Turkish Armed Forces not only boosts Türkiye’s defense capabilities but also enhances its competitive strength in the global defense industry. ASELSAN’s continued innovation in this field underscores Türkiye’s emergence as a strong and independent actor in electronic warfare technologies.
