The T-625 Gökbey is a general-purpose helicopter designed and developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) for the Turkish Armed Forces and civil aviation sectors. Tailored to Turkey's geographical and climatic conditions, the T-625 is intended to replace UH-1 and ambulance helicopters. The project, under the Original Helicopter Program, commenced in 2010 and moved into its operational phase in 2013. The first prototype flight was conducted in September 2018, with the helicopter expected to enter serial production starting from 2023.
Design and Development:
TUSAŞ initiated the design work in 2010, and the Original Helicopter Program contract was signed in June 2013.
The helicopter was developed with contributions from Alp Aviation for landing gear and gearbox, while Spanish CESA was selected for hydraulic systems.
Initially planned with LHTEC CTS800 engines, the project later transitioned to the domestically developed TEI TS1400 engines.

The glass cockpit developed by ASELSAN includes two large touch Integrated Mission Displays and a Touch Command Control Unit.
It is suitable for both IFR and VFR single-pilot operations, night operations, and known icing conditions.
Numerous patents have been obtained for various subsystems.
