Türkiye’s leading armored vehicle manufacturer, Nurol Makina, has entered into a significant cooperation agreement with Indonesian defense company PT Jala. Announced at the Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2022 in Jakarta, this partnership marks an important step toward expanding the global reach of Türkiye’s defense industry.
During the expo, models of the Yörük 4x4 armored vehicle were showcased, while it was also revealed that the vehicle had been tested by Indonesian security forces. Nurol Makina’s Business Development Director, Mehmet Çorbacıoğlu, emphasized that the company continues its marketing activities in Indonesia and highlighted the suitability of the Yörük 4x4 for the country’s operational requirements.
The Yörük 4x4 stands out among next-generation tactical armored vehicles with its advanced capabilities. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h and offers high-level protection against mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Its scalable ballistic protection feature allows it to adapt to varying threat levels, making it a versatile choice for modern security forces.
This collaboration not only supports the promotion of Turkish defense products internationally but also contributes to the development of Indonesia’s defense industry through technology transfer. The Yörük 4x4 has already proven its success with contracts signed in four different regions, and the upcoming local production in Indonesia is expected to further enhance Nurol Makina’s presence in the global defense market.
