Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) continues its steady rise among the world’s top defense companies, climbing three spots to reach 47th place in the 2025 Defense News Top 100 list. Published annually by Defense News, the ranking evaluates the world’s largest defense firms based on their defense revenues from the previous year. TUSAŞ’s improved standing in the top 50 reflects both the company’s expanding production capabilities and Turkey’s broader success in developing indigenous, high-value aerospace technologies with global impact.
In a social media statement, TUSAŞ announced, “We continue to rise globally in the field of aerospace and defense. We moved up three places to 47th in the Defense News Top 100 list. At every step, we take pride in representing our national values on a global scale.” The company attributed this success to increasing R&D investments, diversification in export markets, and progress in major platform projects such as combat aircraft, UAVs, and helicopter programs.
TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu emphasized that climbing higher in international rankings each year is not only a company achievement but also proof that Turkey’s aerospace and defense industries are advancing confidently toward the future. He expressed pride in being part of this journey and extended his gratitude to the entire workforce contributing to TUSAŞ’s success. Demiroğlu noted that TUSAŞ aims to strengthen its role in the global supply chain through innovations in fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, unmanned systems, composite structures, avionics modernization, and space technologies.
Globally, competition among defense and aerospace giants continues to intensify. The latest Defense News Top 100 reveals increasing emphasis on R&D, digital engineering, AI-supported design, and sustainable production. TUSAŞ’s rise to 47th place signals its adaptability to these evolving industry trends and the company’s commitment to growth through innovation and collaboration. With ongoing deliveries, new contracts, and ambitious development programs, TUSAŞ appears poised to climb even higher in the coming years.
