BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye has strengthened its electronic warfare capabilities with the delivery of the next-generation Sancak communication electronic attack system to the Turkish Armed Forces. İsmail Demir, President of the Defense Industries Presidency (SSB), shared the announcement along with a promotional video on social media, emphasizing that Sancak will provide significant battlefield advantages by suppressing and disrupting enemy strategic communication systems.
Designed specifically for communication-focused electronic warfare missions, Sancak aims to weaken opposing forces by targeting their command, control and coordination capabilities. Its high mobility allows rapid deployment across diverse terrains, enabling efficient use both in mobile and stationary operations. By undermining hostile communication infrastructures, Sancak opens maneuver space for friendly units and enhances the overall operational tempo on the battlefield.
Sancak features high output power across a wide frequency band, enabling various types and modes of jamming and deception. These capabilities allow it to disrupt, degrade or manipulate enemy communication channels, rendering them unreliable or completely unusable. Its broadband electronic support capabilities enable detection, monitoring and analysis of surrounding electromagnetic signals, while automatic link establishment and demodulation functions allow effective engagement against sophisticated communication networks.
With its introduction into service, Sancak significantly enhances the Turkish Armed Forces’ deterrence within the electromagnetic spectrum—an increasingly critical domain in modern warfare. The system strengthens Türkiye’s operational independence and demonstrates the technological depth achieved by the country’s defense industry in the field of electronic warfare.
