Bayraktar TB-3 continues intensive sea-based trials from TCG Anadolu and recently guided a kamikaze USV to a pinpoint hit—experts say international interest is accelerating.

Developed by MKE, the PİRANA kamikaze unmanned surface vehicle, controlled in integration with Bayraktar TB3 from TCG ANADOLU, successfully hit its target, marking a new strike capability for the Turkish Navy.

Bayraktar TB3 UCAV completed 100 successful sorties aboard Türkiye’s flagship TCG Anadolu. The latest trials featured AI-assisted, fully autonomous takeoff and landing systems, marking a new milestone in naval aviation history.

Experts say Turkey has officially entered a “golden age” in naval aviation as the Bayraktar TB-3 successfully conducts takeoff and landing tests on the TCG Anadolu and the KIZILELMA UCAV prepares to follow. This shift enables the Turkish Navy to conduct extended operations without dependence on land-based airfields.

During the DENİZKURDU-2025 Exercise, two Bayraktar TB3 prototypes, PT-3 and PT-4, took off from TCG Anadolu and successfully struck their target with ROKETSAN’s MAM-L smart munition.

Bayraktar TB3, the world’s first UAV capable of taking off and landing on a short-deck ship, successfully conducted four autonomous sorties on the Turkish flagship TCG Anadolu on April 22, 2025. The tests were completed without any landing assistance, using advanced AI algorithms developed by Baykar.

Powered by TEI’s PD-170 engine, Bayraktar TB3 reached 30,000 feet in a system performance test, showcasing its short-runway naval operations capability.

Bayraktar TB3 reached 112 total flight hours after its 15th test, showcasing a “Touch and Go” maneuver that highlights its short-deck emergency capabilities.
