Skydagger and L3Harris Technologies signed a memorandum of understanding at the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition, marking a significant milestone for Turkish defense technology companies on the global stage. The agreement, signed by Skydagger General Manager Mehmet Öztekin and L3Harris Technologies Vice President Jennifer Hanley, demonstrates that interceptor drone system technologies are recognized as strategic solutions in the international defense sector.
Skydagger has established itself as a notable success story in Turkey's technology exports by delivering over 45,000 drones to more than 20 countries in a relatively short period since its founding. The company addresses diverse operational requirements across different regions through its product family comprising drones, interceptors, and fixed-wing systems. This rapid expansion reflects the recognition of Turkish engineering capabilities and product development expertise in international markets.
Modern combat environments increasingly demand not only powerful systems but also technologies that adapt quickly and deliver high impact at reasonable cost. Skydagger's interceptor drone technologies position themselves as pioneers in this transformation, playing an expanding role in contemporary military scenarios. As unmanned aerial vehicles proliferate globally, demand for effective countermeasures continues to rise, and Turkish technology offers solutions addressing this growing need.
The partnership aims to integrate Skydagger's interceptor system technology with L3Harris's VAMPIRE C-UxS platform, which operates successfully across multiple regions worldwide. This integration will expand the global reach and application scope of the Turkish-developed interception technology. Collaboration with an established defense sector player like L3Harris Technologies validates Skydagger's technology against international standards and operational requirements.
Within the Turkish defense industrial ecosystem, Skydagger contributes to national production and localization objectives alongside organizations such as Baykar, ROKETSAN, and TUSAŞ in unmanned systems technology. Expanding international partnerships enhance Turkey's defense technology visibility and acceptance in global markets. Such agreements represent not only commercial success but also international recognition of Turkish engineering quality and reliability at the global level.
