Turkish defense giant ROKETSAN has expanded its international footprint with two landmark agreements signed during INDO Defence 2025, Southeast Asia’s largest defense exhibition held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Bringing together key regional and global industry players, the event served as a platform for ROKETSAN to showcase its state-of-the-art air, land, and naval defense systems, and to deepen strategic cooperation with Indonesia.
The first agreement, signed between ROKETSAN and PT Republik Defence Indonesia (RDI), covers the procurement of the ATMACA anti-ship missile and its associated weapon system. This deal further strengthens the defense partnership between Türkiye and Indonesia and marks a significant step in modernizing Indonesia’s naval strike capabilities. With the ATMACA system — a proven and highly advanced platform developed entirely in Türkiye — Indonesia’s navy is expected to achieve a new level of precision and deterrence in maritime operations.
The second agreement establishes a Joint Venture (JVA) between ROKETSAN and PT RDI, aimed at local production, assembly, and maintenance of missile technologies in Indonesia. The initiative will focus on developing indigenous capabilities, reducing foreign dependency, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the country’s defense sector. This partnership reflects a strategic technology transfer model, positioning ROKETSAN not just as a supplier but as a long-term defense partner for Indonesia.
ROKETSAN CEO Murat İkinci emphasized the strategic importance of the agreements: “We are proud to contribute to Indonesia’s defense modernization and to lay the foundations for long-term industrial cooperation. With these partnerships, we aim to strengthen Türkiye’s role as a trusted ally and technology provider across the region.”
At the exhibition, ROKETSAN showcased a wide array of advanced systems, including MAM-C, MAM-L IIR, MAM-T, IHA-230 supersonic missile, KARAOK, OMTAS, and L-UMTAS anti-tank systems, SUNGUR, HİSAR-O, and SİPER air defense systems, as well as LEVENT close-in defense missile, the MİDLAS vertical launch system, and ÇAKIR, TRG-122, TRLG-230, TRG-300, and BORA missiles. The display attracted strong interest from regional and global defense delegations.
These new agreements not only solidify the growing defense ties between Türkiye and Indonesia but also highlight ROKETSAN’s commitment to international joint production and technology partnership models. The company continues to represent Türkiye on the global stage with its next-generation missile and defense technologies.
