Turkey’s leading defense technology company, ROKETSAN, has set an ambitious target for 2025 — achieving 50% growth in both revenue and exports. Speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025, ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci emphasized that the company continues to play a central role in boosting Turkey’s defense industry exports and global presence.
The forum, held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, brought together global defense and diplomatic leaders. During his remarks, İkinci highlighted that Turkey’s defense industry exports exceeded $7 billion in 2024, with over $400 million contributed by ROKETSAN alone. “We closed 2024 on a strong note and started 2025 with rapid momentum,” he said.
İkinci noted that ROKETSAN experienced a strong upward trend in the first quarter of 2025, adding that the short-term export target for Turkey’s defense sector is $10 billion—a figure he believes can be surpassed soon. “As ROKETSAN, we aim to close this year with approximately 50% growth, both in turnover and exports,” he stated.
Currently exporting to around 40 countries, ROKETSAN plans to expand its reach to 50 nations by the end of the year. The company produces a wide range of advanced systems including anti-tank weapons (KARAOK, UMTAS), air defense systems (SUNGUR), cruise and anti-ship missiles, and smart munitions used on UAVs. İkinci underlined that demand for ROKETSAN’s systems continues to grow, with repeat orders and new contracts from international partners.
ROKETSAN’s expanding global footprint reflects Turkey’s broader vision of developing indigenous and high-tech defense solutions. The company’s ongoing investments in production capacity and technological innovation are expected to further strengthen its position as one of the world’s most dynamic missile and defense system manufacturers.
