BREAKING NEWS
ROKETSAN, Türkiye’s leading company in missile, rocket and ammunition technologies, has entered 2026 with one of the largest infrastructure expansion moves in the country’s defense industry. The company’s $3 billion investment plan, announced by ROKETSAN CEO Murat İkinci, is described as one of the biggest defense industry investments in the history of the Republic of Türkiye. The first phase of the program, worth $1 billion, has already been completed, bringing major new production and technology facilities into service.
One of the most critical components of this investment is the new fuel production complex established in Kırıkkale. Built on a vast industrial area, the facility is expected to significantly increase Türkiye’s fuel production capacity for missile and rocket systems. This capability is strategically important for reducing foreign dependency in propulsion technologies, which are among the most critical components of guided munitions, tactical missiles, long-range rockets and strategic weapon systems.
Another major element of the investment is the Lalahan Warhead Facility, described as Europe’s largest warhead production center. The facility was established to expand Türkiye’s warhead production capacity and accelerate operational processes. It will support the production of a wide range of warhead types, including anti-tank munitions, penetration warheads and warheads for strategic systems such as the TAYFUN ballistic missile. This infrastructure will enhance Türkiye’s ability to produce high-impact and mission-specific ammunition with national resources.
ROKETSAN’s investment package also includes advanced research, development and engineering infrastructure. The N-26 Advanced Technologies R&D and Engineering Center, built with an investment of approximately $100 million, will provide modern laboratories and engineering areas for the development of next-generation missile, rocket, guided ammunition, warhead and space technologies. With its large indoor area and engineering capacity, the center is expected to play a key role in strengthening Türkiye’s high-technology defense ecosystem.
The new missile integration infrastructure is another important part of ROKETSAN’s strategic expansion. With the commissioning of the Lalahan Missile Integration Facility and the completion of additional investments, Türkiye aims to achieve a major increase in missile production capacity. This will enable faster and higher-volume production across a broad range of systems, including air defense missiles, ballistic missiles, guided munitions, tactical rockets and other strategic platforms.
This investment drive is not only about developing new products, but also about producing them sustainably, rapidly and in high quantities. In modern warfare, ammunition consumption rates, mass production capacity, localization of critical components and continuity of supply have become as important as the performance of the systems themselves. ROKETSAN’s investments in fuel, warheads, integration lines and R&D infrastructure will therefore strengthen Türkiye’s strategic resilience in missile and ammunition technologies.
ROKETSAN’s $3 billion investment vision is expected to carry the Turkish defense industry to a more advanced level in missile and rocket technologies. With these new facilities, Türkiye will be able to produce critical ammunition components with higher localization rates, increase the production speed of strategic systems and strengthen its position in export markets. The development also reinforces ROKETSAN’s position as a technology producer closely followed not only in Türkiye, but also across the global defense industry.
