BREAKING NEWS
Israel-based unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer Aero-Sentinel has taken a significant step in its international expansion strategy by entering the Kazakhstan defense and security market. According to a statement by the company’s Marketing Director, Ofir Avram, Aero-Sentinel signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with German defense and security firm 2LNK GmbH, granting the company special distribution rights within Kazakhstan.
Aero-Sentinel emphasized that 2LNK GmbH’s long-standing experience and strong network within Kazakhstan’s defense and security sectors will enable direct engagement with local government institutions and end users. Field-level coordination of the partnership will be managed by Kody Linshitz. Both companies underlined that the collaboration is structured around a direct, trust-based model rather than relying on intermediary agents, aiming for long-term and sustainable cooperation.
In recent years, Kazakhstan has increased investments in defense technologies to strengthen border security, counter-terrorism capabilities, and protection of critical infrastructure. The country’s procurement strategy prioritizes systems with proven field performance, clear technical standards, and rapid deployment capability. Aero-Sentinel’s entry into the market aligns closely with these operational and strategic requirements.
Under the agreement, Aero-Sentinel will offer its low-acoustic-signature G2 and G3 UAV platforms to Kazakh security and defense users. Designed for covert intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, these UAVs are capable of operating with minimal detectability. Their compact design, silent flight characteristics, and rapid deployment make them particularly attractive for special forces and internal security units operating in both urban environments and remote terrain.
While financial details and delivery timelines have not yet been disclosed, Aero-Sentinel views this partnership as a key component of its long-term growth plan in regions with stable and increasing demand. Although the company has not officially confirmed operational use in other countries, several open-source defense reports have previously claimed that UAVs with similar characteristics were employed by Israeli special units during overseas operations. Unverified reports last year also alleged the use of comparable drones in covert missions conducted in Iran.
From Kazakhstan’s perspective, the agreement provides rapid access to advanced UAV technology without the need for domestic production. For Aero-Sentinel, the partnership represents a strategic foothold in a geopolitically important market located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe, Russia, and Asia.
