BREAKING NEWS
Turkey has showcased another milestone in its rapidly advancing defense technologies with a successful joint operational test conducted in the Mediterranean. In the demonstration, Baykar’s Bayraktar TB3 UCAV and ASELSAN’s Albatros-S kamikaze unmanned surface vehicle (USV) executed a fully coordinated mission. After taking off from TCG Anadolu, the Bayraktar TB3 reached the operation zone and remotely controlled the Albatros-S via data link, enabling it to neutralize a surface target with precision. This significant test highlighted the high-level integration and operational synergy between Türkiye’s unmanned air and naval platforms.
The demonstration was closely observed by military delegations from Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, and Brazil. The presence of international observers underscored the global interest in Türkiye’s expanding unmanned systems ecosystem and its ability to integrate multi-platform operations with advanced automation and precision-guided weapons.
During the activity near Antalya, two Bayraktar TB3 UCAVs conducted salvo takeoffs from TCG Anadolu to carry out strike missions on a designated target island. One TB3 engaged ground targets using Türkiye’s domestically developed ROKETSAN MAM-T and MAM-L smart munitions, delivering accurate hits. Meanwhile, the second TB3 employed Baykar’s AI-enhanced KEMANKEŞ-1 mini cruise missiles, successfully striking its target. All designated objectives were hit, proving the reliability and effectiveness of the integrated weapon systems.
After completing their missions, the Bayraktar TB3s executed their return maneuvers, with one performing a successful landing on TCG Anadolu before taking off again for Keşan, while the other returned directly as planned. This operation once again demonstrated Türkiye’s growing dominance in unmanned systems and its capability to conduct synchronized air-sea missions within the Blue Homeland.
Baykar’s export achievements continue to reinforce this global leadership. Having funded all its projects using its own resources, the company earns the majority of its revenue from exports and remains one of the world’s top UAV exporters. With export agreements signed with 37 countries for Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI, Türkiye’s influence in the global UAV market continues to rise.
