BREAKING NEWS
HAVELSAN, one of the leading companies in Turkey’s defense industry, has reached the final stage of an ambitious project aimed at the digital transformation of military operations. General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar stated that the “digital soldier” system, known as CENGAVER, is now ready to be introduced into active use by Turkish security forces.
Speaking at an event at Trakya University, Nacar emphasized HAVELSAN’s extensive work in command-control systems and training simulations. He explained that the CENGAVER system integrates data collected from various sensors worn by individual soldiers, allowing seamless communication with unmanned land, air, and sea vehicles. This integration provides a real-time, networked operational environment that significantly enhances situational awareness and coordination during missions.
CENGAVER uses wearable subsystems to collect and process data from the battlefield, enabling commanders to monitor operations instantly and make faster, data-driven decisions. The system’s networked design allows human and unmanned assets to operate within a unified digital ecosystem, effectively creating a “connected battlefield” managed from a single command hub.
Nacar also highlighted that HAVELSAN’s digital unit projects extend beyond CENGAVER. The company continues to develop autonomous systems such as KOVAN and ODAK, further advancing the concept of digitalized defense operations. These projects align with Turkey’s broader goal of strengthening its defense capabilities through indigenous and advanced technologies.
In addition to unveiling CENGAVER, Nacar met with students to share insights about the defense sector and encouraged them to pursue excellence in engineering and innovation. He noted that HAVELSAN’s capabilities span software, hardware, and mechanical systems, and that the company’s high-tech simulators are now used in several countries, contributing to Turkey’s growing reputation in the global defense market.
