BREAKING NEWS
The third edition of ROKETSAN’s Strategic Partnership Summit, aimed at strengthening the company’s supply and production ecosystem in the defense industry, was held in Ankara. The summit focused on key issues that directly shape the future of the sector, including digitalization, sustainability, risk management, innovation, supply chain resilience, and localization. Statements made during the event showed that not only current production processes, but also Türkiye’s long-term growth targets in the defense industry, are being reshaped.
Speaking at the opening of the summit, ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci emphasized that today’s battlefield environment has moved away from conventional warfare and entered a new era dominated by long-range missile systems, air defense assets, kamikaze drones, and munitions launched from unmanned platforms. In this context, he underlined that ROKETSAN’s strategic importance is growing steadily, as the company meets almost all of Türkiye’s needs in guided rocket and missile technologies. İkinci also noted that ROKETSAN sees its strategic partners not merely as suppliers, but as an integral part of the ROKETSAN family.
Data shared at the summit also revealed the growth of the company’s strategic partner network. The number of business partners, which stood at 88 in 2024, has now increased to 106, while the value of products procured through these partners rose from 665 million dollars in 2024 to nearly 1 billion dollars in 2025. This picture shows that nearly half of ROKETSAN’s supply chain is carried out through its strategic partners. İkinci stressed that both the Turkish state and international customers expect a very high delivery performance in the coming period, and said that rising orders and export potential have made new investments unavoidable. With export potential now exceeding 92 percent, the company clearly sees capacity expansion not as an option, but as a strategic necessity.
ROKETSAN’s domestic and national production capability was another major point of emphasis. Murat İkinci stated that the company has reached a level of 92 percent use of local and national resources, adding that this high localization rate provides a major advantage despite disruptions in global supply chains. He pointed out that conflicts and geopolitical crises around the world have affected the defense industry as well as many other sectors, but thanks to investments in alternative sources and domestic production, ROKETSAN has been able to maintain production continuity. This approach is considered highly significant for Türkiye’s goal of building a fully independent defense industry.
One of the most prominent topics of the summit was the increase in serial production capacity. ROKETSAN management announced that a significant portion of the company’s revenues is being directed toward infrastructure investments and the expansion of serial production capabilities. With new developments expected to be announced to the public soon, production capacity is set to rise substantially not only for the TAYFUN ballistic missile and SOM cruise missile, but also for ATMACA, SİPER, HİSAR, and other systems. It was also stated that development activities for the SİPER-2 air defense missile are continuing, tests are ongoing, and the aim is to move into serial production as soon as possible. In addition, efforts to enhance capabilities under the Steel Dome air defense concept, along with the HİSAR and SUNGUR families and next-generation air defense solutions, are continuing. ROKETSAN Chairman of the Board Faruk Yiğit also emphasized that sustainable success can only be achieved through a strong industrial ecosystem, stressing that business partners must place sustainability at the center of their business models.
