BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s layered and integrated air defense architecture, ÇELİKKUBBE, has been reinforced with another critical delivery. Head of the Presidency of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün announced via his social media account that an additional SİPER Long-Range Air Defense System has officially entered the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces as part of the ÇELİKKUBBE project.
Görgün stated that the SİPER-1 system, whose mass production process continues uninterrupted, has successfully completed its live-fire acceptance test for autonomous battery configuration. The test was carried out under a highly demanding scenario in which maneuvering friendly and hostile air assets were present simultaneously. During the exercise, the designated target was successfully neutralized, once again proving SİPER-1’s long-range interception capability and operational maturity in real battlefield conditions.
Emphasizing that these strategic systems are being developed with national resources and introduced into service one by one as production progresses, Görgün highlighted that each new delivery further enhances ÇELİKKUBBE’s deterrent power in the field. He extended his congratulations to the teams of ASELSAN and Roketsan, as well as to the Ministry of National Defence, the Turkish Armed Forces personnel, and the staff of the Presidency of Defence Industries for their contributions.
In a separate statement, ASELSAN underlined that the SİPER-1 serial production battery acceptance firing was successfully completed, demonstrating the system’s strategic role in long-range and high-altitude air defense under challenging operational conditions. Roketsan, on the other hand, described SİPER as the “unyielding guardian of the Blue Homeland,” noting that the system achieved a direct hit during the live-fire test and continues to elevate Türkiye’s long-range air defense capabilities through advanced technology.
With this latest delivery, ÇELİKKUBBE has taken another significant step toward providing more effective, flexible, and deterrent protection of Türkiye’s airspace against aerial and missile threats.
