BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s Defense Industry Academy has launched applications for the National Competence Initiative Capsule Program, a multidisciplinary education initiative designed to enhance students’ technical and professional capabilities in the defense sector. The program will be hosted at the Presidential Nation’s Library in Ankara, aiming to provide university students with hands-on exposure to defense technologies, industry insight, and career development opportunities. A total of 200 undergraduate students will be selected to participate in four repeated sessions, each lasting one week.
The curriculum is divided into two specialized tracks — one for engineering students and one for social sciences students — with content tailored to the needs of each discipline. Participants will attend lectures from leading experts and engage in applied workshops and field-oriented modules, covering topics such as systems engineering, project management, supply chain, R&D processes, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property. The program’s technical and social modules aim to strengthen teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills while promoting awareness of Türkiye’s national technology ecosystem.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be Turkish citizens, actively enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a relevant undergraduate program, and maintaining a GPA above 2.50. Candidates must submit a student certificate, university placement ranking, and, if available, TEKNOFEST or TÜBİTAK competition certificates. Applications will remain open until June 29.
The program, developed with the contribution of experts from Türkiye’s leading defense and technology institutions, seeks to inspire the next generation of innovators and strengthen the human capital base of the national defense ecosystem. By cultivating students’ knowledge, awareness, and creative problem-solving abilities, the initiative aims to align academic potential with the future needs of Türkiye’s indigenous and national defense technologies.
