BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish defense industry is preparing for a significant leap forward in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with 2026 expected to mark a full-scale transition to mass production. One of the prominent contributors to this transformation is Titra Technology, which continues to expand its portfolio across fixed-wing, rotary-wing, multi-rotor UAVs and unmanned helicopter platforms. Company executives shared key insights into ongoing projects and future plans during a press briefing held in Ankara.
Selman Dönmez, Co-Founder of Titra Technology, stated that the company has rapidly evolved into a manufacturer offering products in 8 to 10 different UAV categories. Emphasizing leadership in unmanned helicopter systems in Türkiye, Dönmez highlighted the ALPİN unmanned helicopter platform, produced with an 85 percent local content ratio. With a monthly production capacity of four units, ALPİN offers a 200-kilogram payload capacity, a 200-kilometer control range, and endurance exceeding nine hours, making it a key asset for military logistics missions. The improved ALPİN-2 variant is being developed based on operational feedback to meet higher payload demands and international market requirements.
In addition, the DUMRUL Mini Unmanned Helicopter System has entered service as a training and multi-mission platform, while the DELİ family of multi-rotor UAVs has reached a production capacity of 100 units per month. The FPV loitering munition MERKÜT has also achieved a monthly output of 500 units, with plans to significantly scale production. Qualification tests for the PARS VTOL reconnaissance UAV are ongoing, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2026.
Titra Technology General Manager Ekrem Ünlü underlined the strategic importance of helicopter unmanned conversion projects, particularly for platforms such as the UH-1. He noted that 2025 marked the year when most products entered service, while 2026 will be the company’s mass production year, with expectations of large-volume orders. Ünlü also stated that export activities are expanding across Europe and the Middle East, aiming for exports to account for half of total revenue in the coming period.
