BORON 2022 – International Boron Symposium was organized by the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency (TENMAK) – Boron Research Institute (BOREN) in cooperation with Eti Maden and Istanbul Technical University (ITU). The symposium gathered leading scientists, industrial experts, and policymakers to discuss boron-based R&D and industrial applications across multiple domains.

Key topics included boron geology and mining, chemicals and metallurgy, organoboron polymers, boron-coated composites, glass and ceramics, and applications in energy, health, and agriculture. Presentations and discussions were held in both Turkish and English, highlighting the global potential of boron technologies.

By fostering collaboration among public institutions, private industry, and academia, BORON 2022 contributed to positioning Türkiye as a global hub for boron innovation and strategic materials.
