HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar stated at the Defense Industry Forum held in Ankara within the framework of the 36th NATO Summit that the company develops simulation, command and control, cybersecurity technologies, military software, and system integration solutions suitable for future operational environments. These technologies are utilized by the Turkish Armed Forces as well as NATO and other global partners.

HAVELSAN is one of Turkey's leading organizations in software and system integration within the defense sector. Since the 1980s, the company has developed command and control systems, simulation platforms, and military software solutions. Last year, it exported network planning software for tactical data link management centers to NATO and signed its first contracts with the alliance. This milestone demonstrates that Turkish defense technology is gaining recognition at NATO standards.

Command and control and simulation systems play a critical role in modern operational environments. These systems integrate data from various platforms and sensors, providing decision-makers with real-time information. HAVELSAN's software solutions form joint operations management tools that coordinate operations across air, land, and sea domains. The company prepares these technologies in accordance with NATO interoperability standards and successfully passes them through certification processes.

The CWIX (Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise) exercise, held annually by NATO, serves as an important platform where NATO member states test their software and system integrations. HAVELSAN participates intensively in these exercises and certifies its products for NATO compatibility. Additionally, the company has supplied a coastal surveillance system to a Black Sea region country and developed training and simulation systems under the HÜRJET program signed between TUSAŞ and Spain. These projects demonstrate how effective the Turkish defense industry ecosystem is in international cooperation.

Artificial intelligence-enabled command and control systems are becoming fundamental components of next-generation operations management. HAVELSAN develops closed-loop artificial intelligence systems using its own AI algorithm and MAIN infrastructure based on transformer models. These systems process data from sensors, radars, and munitions to provide operational decision support and, when necessary, possess autonomous decision-making capabilities. The company showcases these technologies at IDEF 2025 and SAHA 2026 exhibitions, closely monitors NATO programs, and sees potential for increased technology transfer to NATO member states in the coming years.
