BREAKING NEWS
HAVELSAN, one of Türkiye’s leading defense software companies, is taking major steps toward shaping the future operational environment through new facility investments and advanced technological solutions. Speaking at the SANCAR Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle Commissioning, Groundbreaking and Opening Ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar announced that the company aims to increase its production capacity by 40 percent while creating new employment opportunities. Over the past three years, HAVELSAN has doubled both its domestic sales and exports, reaching a business volume of 2 billion dollars and demonstrating remarkable growth performance.
One of the company’s flagship systems, the Network-Enabled Data Integrated Combat Management System ADVENT, is actively deployed across numerous platforms within the Turkish Naval Forces. From MİLGEM-class vessels to fast attack crafts, offshore patrol vessels, mine countermeasure ships, the TF-2000 Air Defense Destroyer and TCG Derya, ADVENT serves as the digital backbone of Türkiye’s naval command-and-control capability. Exported to four continents, ADVENT stands out not merely as a combat management software but as a strategic force multiplier. Its integration played a decisive role in transforming TCG ANADOLU into a UAV carrier concept, while BAYRAKTAR TB3’s performance during NATO exercises further demonstrated its advanced interoperability.
HAVELSAN has also crossed a significant threshold in unmanned systems over the last five years. Platforms such as BAHA, BULUT, POYRAZ, BARKAN and SANCAR have been inducted into service, enhancing joint operational effectiveness across land, air and naval domains. In particular, the SANCAR Armed Unmanned Surface Vehicle strengthens maritime security and port protection capabilities with high deterrence power. Through ADVENT AI, which integrates artificial intelligence into combat systems, HAVELSAN aims to establish a dynamic and intelligent operational infrastructure for future battlefields.
In simulation technologies, the company has achieved globally competitive standards. Simulators developed for national platforms including KAAN, ATAK, HÜRJET, HÜRKUŞ, GÖKBEY, ANKA, ALTAY and T70 contribute to the integrated strength of Türkiye’s defense industry ecosystem. AI-supported embedded simulators now allow pilots to train within real flight environments. Moreover, internationally certified full flight simulators have enabled HAVELSAN to expand into civil aviation markets, achieving export success, including cooperation with Turkish Airlines.
Beyond defense, HAVELSAN continues to lead digital transformation across public and private sectors. Starting with national judicial and land registry systems, the company has expanded into enterprise resource planning, generative AI, big data management, cloud computing, biometric systems and SCADA solutions. Its indigenous ERP solution, KOVAN, is expected to gain wider adoption across institutions, while projects such as the Turkish Armed Forces Cloud System and the Combat Tactical Training Center further reinforce Türkiye’s digital defense backbone.
With technologies currently used in 28 countries and local offices in eight nations, HAVELSAN is determined to expand into new regions and increase its export share, which already accounts for one-third of its revenue. Supported by new facility investments and strengthened engineering capabilities, the company continues to play a critical role in advancing Türkiye’s vision of a fully independent defense
