BREAKING NEWS
TEKNOFEST Istanbul, the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, continues to attract thousands of visitors at Atatürk Airport, where Türkiye’s Çelik Kubbe (Iron Dome) air defense products are featured prominently. Organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), with TRT as its communication partner, the event brings together Türkiye’s top defense industry leaders — including ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, and TÜBİTAK SAGE — to showcase cutting-edge national technologies.
The exhibit highlights the HİSAR family of short- and medium-range air defense systems, designed to engage aerial threats through a network-centric architecture. The TURAN 100 BR-OM tactical mobile system demonstrates rapid deployment and flexible battlefield integration, serving as a mobile command and fire control solution. The EJDERHA next-generation anti-drone system, equipped with advanced sensors and countermeasure capabilities, addresses the growing threat of small and swarm UAVs in modern warfare.
The KORKUT self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system represents the low-altitude, gun-based layer of Çelik Kubbe, protecting mobile units and critical facilities through high maneuverability and quick reaction time. Completing the architecture, the AKREP radar system provides early warning, detection, and tracking functions that form the backbone of the ecosystem’s situational awareness. Together, these systems demonstrate the Çelik Kubbe’s integrated defense concept — detection, identification, tracking, and neutralization — in a seamless, multi-layered configuration.
Visitors to TEKNOFEST not only witness Türkiye’s air defense advancements firsthand but also gain insight into the country’s transformation from prototype projects to fully operational systems. The display underscores the nation’s growing independence in defense production, highlighting modular, scalable designs suitable for city, base, and critical infrastructure defense. By blending innovation, interactivity, and national pride, the Çelik Kubbe exhibit has become one of the festival’s most inspiring showcases — reflecting the technological strength and vision of Türkiye’s defense industry.
