BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN has announced a new contract with Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) to supply Next-Generation Network-Centric Military Communication Systems valued at $71,886,091. Disclosed via the Public Disclosure Platform, the agreement aims to strengthen the Turkish Armed Forces’ command-and-control backbone in line with network-centric warfare doctrine. According to the delivery plan, systems will be fielded incrementally from 2025 through 2028, allowing units to adopt capabilities in phases while maintaining operational continuity.
The program is designed to boost interoperable, secure, and high-bandwidth connectivity across tactical and strategic echelons. Anticipated components include software-defined radios, multi-channel waveforms, advanced cryptography, electronic protection measures, and an architecture that unifies man-portable, vehicle-mounted, and fixed nodes under a single IP-based network. This integration will enable resilient voice, data, and video exchange; real-time blue-force tracking; target and sensor data fusion; and faster decision cycles under contested electromagnetic conditions.
By expanding network-centric capabilities, the solution is expected to connect UAV/UCAVs, land and naval platforms, sensors, and fire-support assets into a common operational picture. The result is greater situational awareness, lower latency across friendly formations, and enhanced mission effectiveness. Locally led integration, lifecycle support, and logistics are also set to deliver sustainability and cost advantages while nurturing Türkiye’s defense technology ecosystem.
The timeline aligns with Türkiye’s recent operational experience and multi-domain requirements. As deliveries progress between 2025 and 2028, the Turkish Armed Forces can layer new functions onto existing infrastructure—modernizing communications without disrupting ongoing missions. Combined with ASELSAN’s proven tactical communications portfolio, this contract marks a meaningful step toward a more robust, scalable, and secure national C4ISR network.
