BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish Armed Forces are set to strengthen their operational capabilities with the introduction of the Pars IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle. Developed jointly by FNSS and the Presidency of Defense Industries, the vehicle was showcased for the first time at IDEF 2021. With its unique design, advanced firepower, and high-level protection systems, the Pars IV 6x6 stands out as a next-generation combat vehicle tailored for special operations.
Built with domestic resources, the Pars IV 6x6 features modular armor, an integrated improvised explosive device (IED) kit, and RPG nets, providing strong passive protection. Comprehensive mine, IED, and ballistic tests carried out at FNSS facilities and Turkish Armed Forces test sites proved the vehicle’s resilience against high-level threats. Additionally, active protection elements such as an acoustic warning system sensitive to supersonic sounds, electronic jamming systems, 360-degree smoke launchers, and CBRN protection significantly enhance its survivability.
Equipped with FNSS’s independently developed Sancak Remote-Controlled Weapon Systems, the vehicle can mount 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns as well as 40 mm automatic grenade launchers. This capability ensures both effective surveillance and powerful offensive performance. The Pars IV 6x6 is also fitted with advanced communication and command-control systems, offering superior situational awareness on the battlefield.
Its powerful engine, 7 forward and 2 reverse transmission, and independent suspension system provide exceptional mobility across diverse terrains and road conditions. Once delivered, the Pars IV 6x6 will become the Turkish Armed Forces’ newest generation 6x6 combat vehicle, significantly boosting Türkiye’s operational strength in modern warfare.
