Türkiye has taken another significant step forward in its defense industry. According to a statement shared on social media by the Presidency of Defense Industries Chairman, İsmail Demir, the first batch of domestically manufactured PMT 7.62 machine guns has been delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command. This milestone represents a critical move in reducing the country’s dependence on foreign defense technologies.

The PMT 7.62 machine gun has been specifically designed and produced to meet the operational needs of Türkiye’s security forces. Known for its high firepower, durability, and versatility in the field, the weapon system will provide the Gendarmerie with a considerable tactical advantage.
