cF-16 fighter jets belonging to the Turkish Air Force were filmed from the air over Çanakkale as part of the EFES-2026 Exercise. The aircraft, operating from the 6th Main Jet Base Command in Bandırma, carried out mission flights within the scope of the exercise and once again demonstrated the operational readiness of the Turkish Air Force.
EFES-2026 is being conducted with the participation of land, air and naval elements to improve the Turkish Armed Forces’ joint operational capabilities. F-16 fighter jets taking part in the exercise play an important role in missions such as air support, target engagement, close air support and coordinated operations. The flights recorded over Çanakkale reflected the Turkish Air Force’s high level of preparedness and operational flexibility.
The 6th Main Jet Base Command in Bandırma is one of the Turkish Air Force’s key combat air bases and plays a critical role in EFES-2026 activities. F-16s taking off from the base proceed to designated mission areas in accordance with exercise scenarios. These missions allow pilots to improve their training levels under conditions close to real operational environments.
F-16 fighter jets remain among the most important combat assets of the Turkish Air Force thanks to their speed, maneuverability, mission flexibility and weapons-carrying capacity.
