BREAKING NEWS
Turkey’s defense and aerospace industry achieved the highest export figures in its history during the first eleven months of 2025. President of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Haluk Görgün, announced through his NSosyal post that the sector continues its strong upward trend, with exports increasing by 30 percent compared to the same period last year and reaching $7.445 billion. Remarkably, this record was achieved even before the year concluded, surpassing all previously recorded annual export data.
In November alone, the sector showed yet another significant jump. Last year’s November exports, recorded at $613.7 million, rose by 22 percent to reach $747 million this year. Görgün emphasized that the momentum reflects not only monthly growth but also the sector’s overall strengthening throughout the year. The steady increase in high-value-added products, the widening of export markets, and the sector’s reinforced competitiveness in the global arena have all played major roles in this performance.
Görgün also highlighted the impact of international cooperation efforts led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, noting that these initiatives have opened doors for Turkish defense companies to export not just to specific regions but to a broad range of global markets. He stated that the SSB aims to further increase the number of exporting firms, integrate SMEs into global supply chains, and establish a sustainable, high-value-added export model for the future.
With this historic achievement, Turkey’s defense industry continues to advance as a strong ecosystem that produces, develops, and exports innovative technologies. Companies and sector stakeholders remain key contributors to this rising global presence, showcasing Turkey’s growing influence in the international defense market.
