The Presidency of Defense Industries, known as SSB, held important signing ceremonies for unmanned aerial vehicle projects during SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair. Held at the Istanbul Expo Center under the organization of SAHA Istanbul, the fair hosted contract amendment ceremonies between SSB and Turkish defense companies for the Delican UAV Systems Procurement Project and the Rotary-Wing Mini Cargo UAV System Procurement Project.
The first ceremony was held for “Delican UAV Systems Procurement Project Contract Amendment No. 4.” The signing took place with the participation of SSB Vice President Gökhan Uçar and ENETKİ Savunma Teknik General Manager Nizameddin Haşim Ordulu. Speaking at the ceremony, Uçar emphasized the importance of Turkish defense companies continuously improving their products, developing new capabilities, adding operational value and doing so in a cost-effective manner. He stated that ENETKİ’s product was a strong example of this approach.
ENETKİ Savunma Teknik General Manager Nizameddin Haşim Ordulu thanked the Presidency of Defense Industries for the opportunities provided and said the company aims to continue producing rapid solutions based on operational needs. The contract amendment under the Delican UAV Systems Procurement Project is considered important for improving existing systems in line with field feedback and equipping them with new capabilities. This approach supports the principle of continuous development and adaptation to operational requirements in UAV systems.
Another signing ceremony at SAHA 2026 was held for “Rotary-Wing Mini Cargo UAV System Procurement Project Contract Amendment No. 1.” The ceremony was attended by SSB Vice President Gökhan Uçar and Zyrone Dynamics General Manager Ayşenur Çalışkan Kanber. Uçar stated that Türkiye has many capable and field-proven companies in the unmanned aerial vehicle sector, and that Zyrone Dynamics is among them. He added that the product to be delivered will fill an important gap and is expected to have strong export potential.
Zyrone Dynamics General Manager Ayşenur Çalışkan Kanber said the contract signed between Zyrone Dynamics and the Presidency of Defense Industries was a great honor for the company. She noted that the expansion of field experience gained previously to different branches of the armed forces was a source of pride for Zyrone Dynamics. Kanber also stated that the company expects the use of these systems to increase abroad in the future.
Rotary-wing mini cargo UAV systems offer an important solution for delivering critical supplies to areas where ground transportation is difficult, risky or insufficient in terms of time. Such systems can rapidly transport ammunition, medical supplies, communication equipment, spare parts and other urgently needed logistics loads to forward units. The contract amendment signed with Zyrone Dynamics aligns with Türkiye’s goal of expanding unmanned logistics capabilities and reducing personnel risk in the field.
The signing ceremonies held at SAHA 2026 show that SSB continues to follow a flexible, upgradeable and field-oriented procurement model with domestic defense companies. The Delican UAV and rotary-wing mini cargo UAV projects will contribute to Türkiye’s product diversity and operational depth in unmanned systems. These developments are expected to support the wider integration of domestically developed UAV solutions into the inventories of the Turkish Armed Forces for different mission requirements.
