BREAKING NEWS
Sarsılmaz, one of Türkiye’s long-established defense industry companies, has strengthened its global growth ambition by tripling its export target for 2026. Taking part in SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair with its group companies and broad product portfolio, Sarsılmaz attracted strong attention from international delegations with its weapon systems, ammunition, robotic platforms, turrets and medium-caliber solutions.
Sarsılmaz Foreign Trade General Manager Nuri Kızıltan stated that the company participated in SAHA 2026 with a strong presence through its group companies. At the fair, BPS ammunition, robotic systems developed by LA2 Dynamics, turrets produced in Ankara and cannon systems developed under TRM, the joint venture with Turkish Aerospace, were displayed. This wide product range shows that Sarsılmaz has evolved beyond being only a small arms manufacturer and has become a comprehensive defense industry player capable of responding to different operational needs.
Kızıltan emphasized that there is strong demand for technology transfer at SAHA 2026. He noted that countries are looking for ways to develop their own defense industry capabilities, and that Sarsılmaz is working to support especially friendly and allied nations. In this context, the company attaches importance not only to product sales, but also to technology sharing and joint production. This approach supports longer-term and more strategic cooperation models in Turkish defense exports.
One of the most notable steps taken by Sarsılmaz at the fair was the strategic cooperation agreement signed with Spain-based turret manufacturer Escribano. According to Kızıltan, Escribano, one of the world’s leading turret producers, has decided to integrate Sarsılmaz machine guns and cannons produced by TR Mekatronik into its products. This agreement will pave the way for Sarsılmaz weapon and cannon systems to be used on platforms developed by a major European defense company.
Kızıltan stated that Sarsılmaz has tripled its 2026 export target compared with the previous year. He added that the results achieved in the first quarter indicate that the company is largely on track to meet this goal. According to Kızıltan, Sarsılmaz is already close to filling its 2027 capacity plan. To meet rising demand, the company plans to increase investments, use production capacity more effectively and expand its manufacturing infrastructure. Having previously doubled its exports, Sarsılmaz has now raised the bar further by setting a threefold growth target for 2026.
Kızıltan also emphasized that one of the greatest advantages of the Turkish defense industry against global competitors is speed. He said some European competitors remain slow in decision-making and delivery processes, while Turkish companies can respond to demands quickly and effectively. According to Kızıltan, Sarsılmaz’s success is largely based on its ability to meet customer requests rapidly, and this speed directly contributes to higher sales performance.
Sarsılmaz’s product portfolio has reached a level capable of equipping an army, Kızıltan noted. He added that the company’s systems pass demanding testing processes and meet NATO standards. Products that have been widely tested, approved and proven in Türkiye are especially preferred by foreign delegations. This strengthens Sarsılmaz’s position in international markets in terms of both quality and reliability.
The strong interest received at SAHA 2026 supports Sarsılmaz’s export goals. The strategic cooperation with Escribano, demand for technology transfer, capabilities of group companies and increasing production capacity all create a solid foundation for the company’s 2030 targets. With fast decision-making, a broad product family and cost-effective solutions, Sarsılmaz continues to stand out as one of the rising global brands of the Turkish defense industry.
