BREAKING NEWS
ROKETSAN, Türkiye’s leading company in rocket, missile and ammunition technologies, unveiled four new systems for the first time at SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair. Held at the Istanbul Expo Center, the fair brought together major players of the Turkish defense industry, while ROKETSAN drew attention with its newly introduced NEŞTER, CİRİT Anti-UAV, CİDA and mini cruise missile.
NEŞTER stands out as a special variant of the MAM-L munition family. Designed for high-precision strikes with minimum collateral damage, the system differs from conventional warhead solutions with its non-explosive structure. Thanks to its proximity sensor, NEŞTER activates before contact with the target and uses a unique warhead equipped with cutting blades. This design enables direct precision effects on point targets instead of wide-area destruction.
CİRİT Anti-UAV was introduced as a new version of the field-proven CİRİT Laser-Guided Missile. As kamikaze UAVs and attack munitions have become major threats on the modern battlefield, using high-cost air defense missiles against such targets creates a significant cost burden. CİRİT Anti-UAV is positioned as a cost-effective alternative that can neutralize UAV threats within a suitable engagement envelope. The system stands out with its proximity sensor and anti-UAV warhead, and is designed to engage aerial UAV targets at ranges of up to 8 kilometers.
CİDA, the newest member of ROKETSAN’s long-range anti-tank missile family, was also introduced at SAHA 2026. With beyond-line-of-sight capability, long range, rapid attack ability and a hybrid seeker, CİDA offers a high-technology solution for precision engagement against armored threats. According to ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci, CİDA will have a range of 35 kilometers in ground-to-ground use and 55 kilometers when launched from helicopters against ground targets. Its ability to be integrated into land, naval and air platforms is expected to create a strong force multiplier effect in the field.
The fourth new system introduced by ROKETSAN, the mini cruise missile, combines a low-cost structure with high operational impact. Announced with a range of 250 kilometers, the system draws attention with its ability to be carried in multiple numbers by unmanned aerial vehicles, its long range and heavier warhead compared with similar systems. The mini cruise missile is expected to become an important force multiplier, especially against air defense systems. Its ability to collect visual intelligence from the target area also provides users with greater operational flexibility.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, speaking at ROKETSAN’s launch event, said the new weapons are highly effective and cost-efficient solutions. Güler stated that Türkiye hopes to use such systems only for deterrence, but emphasized that they would be used decisively and effectively if needed. ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci also underlined that anti-UAV systems have become one of the most important focus areas worldwide, adding that CİRİT Anti-UAV was developed to meet this growing need.
In addition to the four new systems, ROKETSAN is displaying nearly 40 advanced technology products at SAHA 2026. The company’s exhibition includes the TAYFUN ballistic missile, MAM-C, MAM-L IIR, MAM-T Dual Seeker, İHA-122, İHA-230, SUNGUR, HİSAR-A, HİSAR-O RF, SİPER Block 1 and Block 2, LEVENT, MİDLAS, KARAOK, L-OMTAS, SOM, ÇAKIR, KARA ATMACA, TEBER, METE, BORA, TRLG-122, TRLG-230, LG-155, AKYA and ORKA. Platforms such as the ALKA directed energy weapon system, KMC tactical missile weapon system, PUSU turret-mounted weapon system and ŞİMŞEK-2 satellite launch vehicle are also among the systems presented at the fair.
ROKETSAN’s new launches at SAHA 2026 once again demonstrate the level reached by the Turkish defense industry in missiles, ammunition, air defense, anti-tank systems and cruise missile technologies. NEŞTER’s low-collateral precision strike capability, CİRİT Anti-UAV’s cost-effective counter-drone role, CİDA’s long-range anti-armor capacity and the mini cruise missile’s flexible deep-strike profile stand out as new capabilities that will strengthen the operational power of the Turkish Armed Forces.
