BREAKING NEWS
Roketsan, one of the leading players in Turkey’s defense industry, is preparing to take the stage at the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) with a powerful display of its latest strategic missile systems. Scheduled for July 22–27, the exhibition will feature Roketsan’s most advanced ballistic, cruise, air defense, and air-to-air missile technologies, many of which will be unveiled for the first time. The company aims to use this platform not only to showcase its technological superiority but also to strengthen its export-oriented growth and establish new international partnerships.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the Presidency of Defense Industries ahead of the event, Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci emphasized that IDEF has become a global showcase for Turkey’s defense capabilities. He noted that ongoing regional conflicts have made certain technologies — particularly ballistic and air defense systems — more critical than ever. “IDEF is no longer an event where we simply follow the world’s defense trends,” İkinci said, “but rather one where we set new ones.”
According to İkinci, Roketsan plans to introduce six entirely new products during the fair. Each of these systems boasts high-end technological features that distinguish them from their global counterparts. Roketsan’s next-generation ballistic and cruise missiles are expected to significantly enhance Turkey’s strategic deterrence capabilities while also boosting the country’s competitive edge in the international defense market.
A key element of Roketsan’s growth strategy, İkinci added, is “joint development and shared growth with friendly and allied nations.” Through technology transfers and co-production models, Roketsan aims to deepen its defense partnerships across multiple regions. Building on its international success in UAV munitions, the company now seeks to extend that success to land- and air-based missile platforms. Several new contracts expected to be signed at IDEF 2025 are set to transform these goals into tangible progress, further propelling Turkey’s defense exports.
For Roketsan, IDEF 2025 represents more than just an exhibition — it is a milestone for introducing next-generation technologies, expanding strategic collaborations, and amplifying Turkey’s global defense footprint. Concluding his remarks, İkinci stated, “We believe IDEF will make a strong international impact and set new trends in the global defense arena.”
