SAHA 2026 International Defence, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair continues on its fourth day at the Istanbul Expo Center with major developments in Türkiye’s defence sector. As one of Europe’s largest defence industry gatherings, the fair has become a key showcase for Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative, bringing together advanced systems developed with domestic and national capabilities.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to attend the fourth day of the fair and visit the stands of Türkiye’s leading defence companies. During his visit, Erdoğan is set to examine strategic systems developed by major firms such as Baykar, ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, TUSAŞ and STM. His participation is expected to deliver important messages on the current level of the Turkish defence industry, future technology goals and export-oriented growth.
Held across a total area of 400,000 square meters, SAHA 2026 hosts more than 1,700 companies from over 120 countries. The event is also attended by more than 140 official delegations and over 30,000 industry professionals. With 203 new products being showcased for the first time, the fair highlights Türkiye’s expanding capabilities in unmanned systems, smart munitions, electronic warfare, laser weapons, aerospace technologies and advanced defence platforms.
The economic dimension of SAHA 2026 is also one of the most important themes of the event. Following the 6.2 billion dollars in export contracts achieved at SAHA 2024, this year’s target is to raise that figure to at least 8 billion dollars through new signing ceremonies. A total of 164 signing ceremonies are planned throughout the fair, showing that SAHA 2026 is not only a technology exhibition but also a major commercial platform for defence industry exports.
Among the most attention-grabbing technologies on the fourth day of the fair is Baykar’s MIZRAK smart loitering munition, described as an AI-supported system with a range of 1,000 kilometers. The K2 Kamikaze UAV and Sivrisinek loitering munition, both displayed for the first time, are also drawing strong interest from visitors. In addition, ASELSAN’s 11 newly introduced technological products and the ALKA-KAPLAN Hybrid Laser Weapon System developed through the cooperation of ROKETSAN and FNSS stand out as some of the most notable projects at the fair.
SAHA 2026 continues to serve as a meeting point for global defence actors, official delegations and industry professionals. The fair provides an important platform for technology partnerships, export agreements and potential co-production models. By bringing together game-changing technologies under one roof, the event reinforces Türkiye’s growing role as a competitive player in the global defence industry.
The final day of the fair will be open to the public as part of the public day program. After hosting industry professionals during the previous days, SAHA 2026 will allow thousands of citizens to see Türkiye’s national defence projects up close. Strong public interest is expected especially in unmanned aerial vehicles, smart munitions, land systems, electronic warfare solutions and space technologies. With this aspect, SAHA 2026 stands out not only as a professional defence industry event but also as a platform that increases public awareness of Türkiye’s technological achievements.
