Otokar, one of the leading companies in the Turkish defense industry, marked 2023 with record-breaking export success in armored vehicles. The company expanded its international footprint by exporting to seven new countries, raising the total number of export markets to 41. This milestone represents the broadest export reach in Otokar’s history and highlights its growing global influence.
The company also achieved remarkable sales growth. Military vehicle sales rose by 43%, generating a turnover of 5.66 billion Turkish lira. An impressive 97% of this revenue came from exports, with a total of 305 military vehicles delivered—the highest sales figure in the past six years. Additionally, 28% of Otokar’s overall export revenue was derived from military vehicle sales, underscoring its strong presence in the defense sector both domestically and internationally.
Beyond its commercial success, Otokar continued to push the boundaries of innovation. In 2023, it introduced the ARMA II, the newest member of its ARMA family, along with other advanced vehicles featuring high protection levels and superior firepower. The ARMA II, in particular, has attracted significant attention in the global market for its advanced capabilities, positioning it as one of the leading armored combat vehicles in its class.
Otokar also strengthened its international engagement by participating in multiple defense industry exhibitions worldwide. Through these events, the company secured new partnerships and orders, further solidifying its role in the global defense market. Analysts suggest that Otokar’s growing export performance and cutting-edge vehicle development capabilities are strong indicators of continued success and expansion in the coming years.
