BREAKING NEWS
Turkish defense manufacturer Nurol Makina has taken a significant step in strengthening its international footprint by presenting its EJDER YALÇIN 4x4 vehicle at the World Defense Show (WDS 2024) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The vehicle, equipped with ASELSAN’s 25mm NEFER-L turret, stands out with its 12-passenger capacity and enhanced protection features. Having undergone rigorous summer trials in Saudi Arabia in 2023, EJDER YALÇIN is now among the contenders in the country’s 4x4 armored vehicle evaluations.
Nurol Makina is not limiting its efforts to the Gulf region but is also expanding into Southeast Asia. In Malaysia, the company secured a major contract to deliver 20 EJDER YALÇIN vehicles for use in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The deliveries are set to begin in February. Winning the tender against 23 international competitors, Nurol Makina collaborated closely with ASELSAN to integrate advanced systems, ensuring the vehicles meet demanding operational requirements.
In Indonesia, Nurol Makina’s NMS 4x4 YÖRÜK vehicles have also made an impact. Around 80 units have already been delivered, with the remaining orders expected to be fulfilled by May 2024. The vehicles gained international attention when Indonesia’s elite police unit, Brimob, deployed them during the G20 Leaders’ Summit in November 2022.
Currently, more than 1,500 Nurol Makina armored platforms are in service across nearly 20 countries, including South America, Africa, Europe, the Gulf, and Asia. With the EJDER YALÇIN and NMS YÖRÜK series, Nurol Makina continues to position itself as a key player in the global armored vehicle market, reinforcing Türkiye's reputation in the defense industry.
