BREAKING NEWS
The border security of the Turkish Armed Forces is being significantly reinforced with advanced systems developed by Türkiye’s defense industry. The 2nd Border Regiment Command’s Ziyaret Border Post in Altınözü, Hatay, stands as a prime example of how these cutting-edge technologies are deployed in the field. Here, Turkish soldiers perform their duty around the clock, supported by state-of-the-art surveillance and defense systems produced by ASELSAN.
One of the most critical systems in use is the Şahingöz Camera System, which provides long-range surveillance both day and night, in all weather conditions. With the ability to detect targets up to 11.5 kilometers away and identify them from 2.4 kilometers, the system plays a crucial role in securing Türkiye’s borders. Its integrated laser capability also measures distances with precision, further enhancing operational effectiveness. Complementing this, the ACAR Ground Surveillance Radar is actively used for detecting, tracking, and classifying ground targets.
The post is also equipped with the SARP Remote-Controlled Weapon System, which includes thermal imaging and laser range-finding features, providing superior firepower in any weather condition. Meanwhile, the SEDA Acoustic Gunshot Detection System can accurately locate the source of gunfire even in foggy or adverse conditions, ensuring rapid response to potential threats along the border.
Similar advanced systems are deployed at the Sucu Martyr Captain İlker Acar Border Post along the Syrian border. Integrated under the Physical Security System, these technologies ensure comprehensive and sustainable border protection. Regular inspections by the Ministry of National Defense guarantee that the systems remain fully operational and effective.
These advancements highlight the success of Türkiye’s defense industry in providing indigenous technological solutions. By equipping border posts with advanced systems, not only is the security of Turkish soldiers enhanced, but Türkiye’s independence in defense capabilities is also further consolidated.
