Türkiye’s defense industry continues to gain global recognition with its indigenous technologies. The Bayraktar TB2 Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), developed by Baykar, has been successfully exported to Kuwait, making it the UAV’s 30th export destination worldwide.
Renowned for its advanced technology and resilience, the Bayraktar TB2 has proven its capability to operate under challenging environmental conditions. In desert trials, it achieved a record-breaking flight endurance of 27 hours and 3 minutes, demonstrating its effectiveness in extreme climates such as those found in Kuwait. This endurance capacity highlights not only its tactical superiority but also its ability to serve as a strategic asset for national security.
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar emphasized on social media that the Bayraktar TB2 is playing a critical role in enhancing the air power of many nations, contributing to peace and security on a global scale. With this achievement, Türkiye strengthens its position in the global defense market, competing alongside major industry powers such as the United States, Europe, and China.
The export of the Bayraktar TB2, developed entirely with domestic and national resources, underscores Türkiye’s unique engineering capabilities and growing international influence in defense technologies. The Kuwait deal further consolidates Baykar’s expansion in global markets and reaffirms the strategic role of the Turkish defense industry on the world stage.
