BREAKING NEWS
The Bayraktar AKINCI Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV), one of the most advanced achievements of Türkiye’s defense industry, continues to make its mark on the global stage. Developed by Baykar, AKINCI combines high-altitude performance, long-endurance capability, and extensive weapons integration to serve as a strategic asset on modern battlefields.
With its distinctive twisted-wing design, 20-meter wingspan, and a payload capacity of up to 1,500 kilograms, AKINCI offers advanced operational versatility. Equipped with cutting-edge avionics, AI-supported mission systems, a fully autonomous flight control system, and triple-redundant autopilot, the UCAV delivers next-generation combat capabilities. Its indigenous redundant servo actuators and ground control systems further reinforce its reliability and technological uniqueness.
AKINCI has also become a symbol of Türkiye’s growing defense exports. With contracts signed with 9 countries, the platform has secured a strong position in the international UAV market. Notably, the joint production and procurement deal with Saudi Arabia marked the largest defense export agreement in Türkiye’s history, underscoring the platform’s global appeal and the country’s strengthening defense industry footprint.
Performance achievements further highlight AKINCI’s capabilities. The UCAV can operate at altitudes of up to 40,000 feet, remain airborne for 24 hours, and navigate without GPS using indigenous sensor fusion systems. Its successful live-fire test with the ASELFLIR-500 and its record-breaking altitude flight have demonstrated that AKINCI is not just a platform for today but also a decisive player in the warfare doctrines of the future.
