BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s defense industry continues to advance with new technologies designed to meet evolving security needs. ASELSAN’s latest development, the Göker 35 mm Multi-Purpose Weapon System, has now reached operational readiness, offering powerful capabilities for both air and land defense missions. Designed to neutralize air targets at a range of 4 kilometers and land targets at 5 kilometers, Göker stands out as a versatile and reliable defense solution.
During tests conducted at the Karapınar Firing Range by the Ministry of National Defense, Göker showcased its impressive capabilities. The system demonstrated high effectiveness against mini and micro unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), a growing threat on modern battlefields. Utilizing ATOM 35 mm Airburst Ammunition, Göker successfully neutralized enemy UAVs, mock aircraft, and helicopters beyond 4 kilometers, while maintaining deterrent power against land targets over 5 kilometers.
One of Göker’s most notable features is its wide elevation coverage, which allows it to engage targets at low angles in mountainous or rugged terrain. This adaptability makes the system suitable for diverse operational environments, ensuring effectiveness beyond flat landscapes. By incorporating cutting-edge engineering and advanced ammunition, ASELSAN has provided security forces with a system that can quickly adapt to evolving threats.
The development of Göker reflects the progress Türkiye has achieved in strengthening its defense industry. With its integration into the country’s arsenal, Göker will enhance the operational flexibility and deterrent power of security forces. Relying on domestic technology and ammunition, this new system reduces foreign dependency while elevating Türkiye’s global standing in defense innovation and competitiveness.
