BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN continues to develop advanced defense systems tailored to the evolving needs of security forces. Known for creating high-technology weapon platforms usable on both land and naval systems, the company has finalized its latest project: the Göker 35 mm Multi-Purpose Weapon System. Designed to counter both air and ground threats, Göker stands out with its modern capabilities and reliable performance.
The system recently underwent operational and capability demonstration tests at the Ministry of National Defense’s Karapınar Firing Range. Developed entirely with ASELSAN’s own resources, Göker successfully completed all trials. During testing, the system demonstrated the ability to neutralize extremely small and challenging targets such as mini and micro UAVs at unexpectedly long ranges. In addition to its air-defense performance, Göker also showed strong effectiveness against ground targets, confirming its operational readiness.
Göker was engineered to be deployed in fixed facilities and border regions, addressing the urgent needs of very low-altitude air defense and ground threat mitigation. Its wide elevation coverage enables firing from low declination angles, making it particularly effective in mountainous and rugged terrain. This provides security forces with increased tactical flexibility and broad operational capability.
One of Göker’s most important strengths is the integration of the ATOM 35 mm Airburst Ammunition, which significantly enhances its destructive potential. With this ammunition, the system can effectively engage mini/micro UAVs, model aircraft, and helicopters at ranges exceeding 4 kilometers. Against ground targets, Göker offers deterrence beyond 5 kilometers, giving security units a significant advantage in field operations. ASELSAN’s Göker system is now positioned as a powerful, modern, and nationally developed solution ready to bolster Turkey’s defense capabilities.
