BREAKING NEWS
ASELSAN, one of the leading companies in the Turkish defense industry, is preparing for a major debut at the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025). The company will present nine next-generation technologies developed in the fields of radar, electronic warfare, electro-optics, air defense, and communication systems. Strengthening its export-oriented growth strategy, ASELSAN will exhibit over 300 products and systems, showcasing the full breadth of its capabilities. In addition, more than 20 national and international signing ceremonies are planned during the event.
One of the main highlights of the exhibition will be Turkey’s Layered Air Defense Architecture, known as the “Steel Dome.” ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol emphasized that the system reflects the “steel will of the state,” noting that all components of the Steel Dome will be showcased together in the open-air section. Visitors will have the opportunity to examine the system’s complete structure, which includes sensors, command-and-control elements, and interceptor units that operate across various altitude and range layers — illustrating the integrated defense process from detection to neutralization.
In the indoor exhibition area, ASELSAN will demonstrate its expertise across a wide range of technological domains, including communication systems, naval technologies, border and city security, command and control, tactical communications, tank modernization, and space systems. These displays are expected to feature both modernization packages for existing platforms and new-generation, software-based, network-centric, and interoperable solutions. Through these innovations, ASELSAN aims to reinforce its position in the global defense market while addressing the specific needs of domestic and international clients.
For ASELSAN, IDEF 2025 represents not only an exhibition platform but also an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships and secure new agreements. These initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to Turkey’s defense exports and increase the local content ratio within the supply chain. With its comprehensive portfolio, ASELSAN continues to demonstrate its capability to deliver end-to-end integrated solutions across land, air, sea, and space domains.
